7-Day Eating Plan.

Here's your 7-day Ayurvedic eating plan designed to support detoxification and curb sugar cravings. The plan focuses on simplicity, aligns with the circadian rhythm, and emphasises hydration.
There is not a huge amount of choice as it needs to be simple to make and mostly batch-cooked for the week. Look upon it as a utilitarian way to fuel your body whilst detoxing and healing from sugar addiction.
General Guidelines:
Hydration - Start each day with a glass of warm water plain or with a squeeze of lemon or lime or even a slice of fresh ginger to stimulate digestion and detoxification. Drink plenty (at least 1.5L) of warm water throughout the day, ideally between meals, to keep your system hydrated.
Meal Timing - Eat all your meals in a 10-hour window and last bite at least 3 hours before you lie down in bed. This aligns with the body's natural digestive capacity, which is strongest during the day. An example would be 9 am first bite and 7 pm last bite - adjust times to suit your routine.
Mindful Eating - Set and sit at the table. Eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly. Avoid distractions like phones or TV during meals.
The main focus is breakfast; we are looking to minimise sugar spikes, especially first thing, as this will really reduce sugar cravings.
There is no fruit except a few berries this week.
Every morning, a glass of warm water, either plain or with a squeeze of lemon or lime or a thin slice of fresh ginger.

Why Hydration Matters
Staying hydrated helps to flush out toxins, supports digestion, and curbs sugar cravings. Warm water aids in breaking down food and removing waste from the body, enhancing the detox process.
When to Drink
Drink warm water throughout the day, especially between meals, to avoid diluting digestive juices during mealtime. Herbal teas like ginger, fennel, or peppermint can also support digestion and hydration.
Incorporate Herbs
Use Ayurvedic herbs like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and ginger to support digestion and detoxification. I have included the CCF cleansing tea in the recipe section.
Eating window.
Eat within a 10-hour window.
Rest
Allow your digestive system to rest by not eating too late at night, which aligns with the body's natural rhythms. Ideally, leave at least 3 hours after eating or before going to bed.
This simple, balanced plan should help you detoxify and reduce sugar cravings while staying in tune with your body's natural cycles.
